'Super Mario Bros. Crossover' 2.0 Brings The Bass
Super Mario, plus all his bros.
Did you guys play Super Mario Crossover? Even if you haven't experienced the entire epic mash-up, you've likely played through its component parts: The game challenges players to go through levels and meet challenges lifted from the old-school Super Mario Bros. games. The twist? You can choose from a whole slew of NES heroes, from Mega Man to Samus to Ryu Hayabusa to get the job done. Better still, these guest characters use familiar control schemes and abilities from their own games to navigate the Mario universe, defeat enemies, and collect power-ups. The original game featured a ton of personalities and features from across the NES console generation, and its follow-up--Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0--promises further dimensional chaos. This new trailer for the Version 2.0 of the original game shows off a newcomer to the game--Mega Man's rival, Bass. Check out Bass in addition to all the new crossover flash and dazzle:
I'm a Belmont guy myself, but everyone is entitled to his or her own choice of NES protagonist. Super Mario Bros. Crossover 2.0 is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2012, so get ready for more mash-up madness.
